If ever your voice was needed, it surely is needed now.

If ever your truth was needed, it surely is needed now.

If ever your power was needed, it surely is needed now.

If ever your story was needed, it most certainly is needed now.

“Life and death is in the power of the tongue (the voice) and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21

“For God has not given us a Spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

“You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!” John 8:32

Nobody else can tell your story. Nobody else defines who you are. Unless you allow them. In this session, “Telling Our Story, Having Our Say,” you will reclaim your ability to understand yourself, the context from which you came, and accept the response-ability to operate with your God-given power in the space that is now yours.

Participants will be guided into storytelling/truth telling through:

  • Examining common cultural roots/Conversing

  • Retelling family stories/Listening

  • Recalling personal experiences, tests, trials, tribulations & triumphs/ Private Reflection

  • Describing yourself to yourself/Journaling

  • Telling your story with power/Speaking & Sharing
